Quad Single-Ended Line Driver •
Dual Differential Line Driver
General Description
The MM88C30 is a dual differential line driver that also per-
forms th e dua l fou r-input NAND o r dua l fou r-input AND
function. The absence of a clamp diode to VCC in the input
protection circuitry of the MM88C30 allows a CMOS user to
interface syste ms op erating at dif ferent volta ge levels.
Thus, a C MOS digital signal source can operate at a VCC
voltage greater than the VCC voltage of the MM88C30 line
driver. Th e d ifferential ou tput o f t he M M88C30 el iminates
ground-loop errors.
The M M88C29 i s a no n-inverting si ngle-wire tra nsmission
line dr iver. S ince t he output O N re sistance is a l ow 2 0
typ., the dev ice can be u sed t o dr ive l amps, r elays, sol e-
noids, and clock lines, besides driving data lines.

s Wide supply voltage range: 3V to 15V
s High noise immunity: 0.45 VCC (typ.)
s Low output ON resistance: 20(typ.)
