GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The EN25P32 is a 32M-bit (4096K-byte) Serial Flash memory, with advanced write protection
mechanisms, accessed by a high speed SPI-compatible bus. The memory can be programmed 1 to
256 bytes at a time, using the Page Program instruction.
The EN25P32 is designed to allow either single Sector at a time or full chip erase operation. The
EN25P32 can be configured to protect part of the memory as the software protected mode. The device
can sustain a minimum of 100K program/erase cycles on each sector.

MEMORY ORGANIZATION
The memory is organized as:
z 4,194,304 bytes
z Uniform Sector Architecture
Sixty four 64-Kbyte sectors
z 16384 pages (256 bytes each)
Each page can be individually programmed (bits are programmed from 1 to 0). The device is Sector or
Bulk Erasable but not Page Erasable.

Write Enable (WREN) (06h)
The Write Enable (WREN) instruction (Figure 5) sets the Write Enable Latch (WEL) bit. The Write Enable
Latch (WEL) bit must be set prior to every Page Program (PP), Sector Erase (SE), Bulk Erase (BE) and
Write Status Register (WRSR) instruction.
The Write Enable (WREN) instruction is entered by driving Chip Select (CS#) Low, sending the instruction
code, and then driving Chip Select (CS#) High.
Write Disable (WRDI) (04h)
The Write Disable instruction (Figure 6) resets the Write Enable Latch (WEL) bit in the Status Register to
a 0 or exit from OTP mode to normal mode. The Write Disable instruction is entered by driving Chip
Select (CS#) low, shifting the instruction code “04h” into the DI pin and then driving Chip Select (CS#)
high. Note that the WEL bit is automatically reset after Power-up and upon completion of the Write Status
Register, Page Program, Sector Erase, and Bulk Erase instructions.
