DESCRIPTION
The L6225 is a DMOS Dual Full Bridge designed for
motor control applications, realized in MultiPower-

BCD technology, which combines isolated DMOS
Power Transistors with CMOS and bipolar circuits on
the same chip. Available in PowerDIP20 (16+2+2),
PowerSO20 and SO20(16+2+2) packages, the
L6225 features a non-dissipative protection of the
high side PowerMOSFETs and thermal shutdown.

THERMAL PROTECTION
In addition to the Ovecurrent Protection, the L6225 integrates a Thermal Protection for preventing the device
destruction in case of junction over temperature. It works sensing the die temperature by means of a sensible
element integrated in the die. The device switch-off when the junction temperature reaches 165°C (typ. value)
with 15°C hysteresis (typ. value).
