.DataThe IL78xx series of three-terminal positive regulators are available in
wthe TO-220 package and with several fixed output voltage, marking them
wwuseful in a wide range of applications.

These applications include on-card regulation for elimination of noise and
distribution problems associated with single point regulation with single
point regulation. In addition, they can be used with power pass elements to
mmake high current voltage regulators.
oIf adequate heat sinking is provided, each of these regulator can deliver

Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, these devices
can
Ube used with external components to obtain adjustable voltage and currents.
